General
Information
Topflight for Schools offer a variety of destinations around Europe, and the USA which have been selected to suit different groups’ requirements.
You will see a variety of symbols and ratings dotted around our website and our brochure which are explained below.
How do your star ratings work?
We have rated our accommodation and 3 categories in each resort in order to assist a group leader in choosing their destination and accommodation.
Accommodation Ratings, Village Ratings, Après ski and Ski Slopes ratings are only our opinion through research from group feedback, inspections and our perception of our clients requirements. It is purely to assist groups and we will not be held liable for differences of opinion with regards to any ratings given.
Accommodation Ratings
A mixture of standard, location, in house après-ski and personal touch have all been taken into account. Please note this does NOT offer a star rating and only offers our overall point of view.
Village Life Ratings
Village life is determined by distance to a village centre, size of village and ease of access from accommodation.
Apres Ski Ratings
The number and quality of après ski activities in close proximity to your hotel.
Ski Slope Ratings
Ski slope grading is broken down into categories of Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced skiers.
How close will I be to the slopes?
Doorstep Skiing
Hotel on the slopes or beside a lift which connect to the full or local ski area available.
Walking Distance
Hotel not directly on the slopes or lifts but can be reached easily by foot.
Ski Bus Connected

Ski Equipment & Ski School
All ski hire equipment providers follow international standards regarding age/height/weight/ability and equipment is of a high standard. All ski schools are registered as official ski schools, and all instructors hold the required qualifications.
Morning and afternoon ski lessons are recommended to all groups. Some have this already added to their basic tour cost. For those that don’t, we ask you to take afternoon lessons as they offer students the best opportunity to progress in a controlled, safe and professional environment.
The local ski school in all resorts will confirm lesson times generally prior to a group’s arrival in resort. They may alter these from time to time during the course of the week. Topflight for Schools will be happy to request preferred timings for a group, however the ski school will make the final decision. Ski lessons in Italy/Austria generally consist of 55 mins per hour.
The ski package price is based on group lessons of 11/12 people per instructor. Please note that ski instructors are allocated based on the total group number. In the case where levels may fluctuate and an extra instructor is required, a supplement may apply.
A minimum group size of 11 snowboarders of similar level is required in order to dedicate an instructor to a snowboarding group. There is an extra supplement for snowboard hire that will be advised at the time of sale.
Please note smaller groups are on request basis only and an additional supplement will apply.
