The beautiful Austrian resort of Ehrwald is in a fantastic location just 1hr NW of Innsbruck. The village is in an area better known as the Zugspitze Arena, which is made up of a number of little hamlets overlooked by the towering Zugspitze Glacier; Lermoos & Ehrwald being the largest and most famous . The Zugspitze split between the Austrian Tyrol and German Bavaria and is classed as Germany’s highest peak. Ehrwald (Austrian side) is a lovely village with a small centre a number of hotels, restaurants, shops, bars/cafeterias and sports centre. There are a huge amount of breathtaking walks, hikes, climbs, mountain biking and other adventures in the close vicinity.
