If travelling from the Republic of Ireland, your holiday is licenced by the Commission for Avation Regulation, Ireland under TA Licence No. 0532
If travelling from the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland), your holiday is protected under ATOL Licence No. 6503
Free place ratio
We offer a free place ratio for all groups depending on your school or club’s requirement and the destination or tour type.
Change in numbers
When a group leader receives a request for an additional place, it is very important to check with us first before confirming, as we will need to check availability with airlines, suppliers etc. If a participant cancels their place on the trip, we will where possible, facilitate substitution.
In general, once tickets have been purchased for football matches, theatre tickets, concert tickets entrance tickets to museums, art galleries etc, they are not refundable.
Match fixture changes
On occasion, match fixtures may be rescheduled due to television schedules or other competition commitments of teams. Should this happen, we will endeavour to rearrange your itinerary around the game or book a different date, subject to availability of all services.
Train & Play Tours
Our Train & Play tours include all training equipment for your training sessions, including cones, bibs, balls and referees/umpires for friendly games.
All deposits paid are non refundable, but we are happy to facilitate transfer to a replacement traveller. Please be aware that airline seats have generally been paid for by us at the time of booking and a name change fee is payable to the airline involved, in this case.
Cancellation Fee Timeline
More than 8 weeks before the departure date, deposits shall be forfeited,
8 – 6 weeks prior to departure 75% of the cost of the holiday is forfeited.
Within 6 weeks of departure 100% of the cost of the holiday is forfeited.
All cancellation charges apply to each person covered by a booking.
Any insurance premium payable is not refundable.
API (Advanced Passenger Information)
It is a compulsory requirement for any passengers intending to travel to Spain to provide Advanced Passenger Information which includes date of birth, gender, passport number, expiry date, issue place of passport and nationality.
Passports & Visas
Please ensure that all travellers have passports with a validity of 3 months and preferably 6 months. If less than 3 months, please contact the Embassy of your destination country to ensure that travel will be allowed. Members of your travelling party who are not Irish or UK citizens may need a Visa to travel to their chosen destination. It is also important that travellers not from Ireland or the UK, may require a visa if departing from Northern Ireland as they will be transiting via Belfast and UK laws will apply.The obtaining of the relevant visa is the sole responsibility of the person involved. Names submitted to Topflight for Schools must be exactly as per passport.
European Health Insurance Card
The EHIC which replaced the E111 form, allows European citizens to access health care while abroad, in a country which participates the this reciprocal scheme. Please see www.ehic.ie for further information
All coach, air and sea transportation provided as part of a tour, complies with required regulations by the appropriate regulatory body.
We work with a number of excellent quality hotels in all destinations, as well as high standard student accommodation, all of which fully meet the requirements of your school and sports groups.
Group Leader Assistance
Topflight for Schools offers assistance through our experienced staff who are available to support Group Leaders before departure and while you are on your trip. From your departure at the airport and throughout the duration of your tour, you will have our complete support and guidance.
Topflight for Schools automatically includes fully comprehensive sports travel insurance in the tour cost for all student/youth groups. Our insurers are WORLDWIDE INSURANCE. The insurance covers in certain circumstances, loss or theft of money or personal belongings, departure delays etc. subject to policy terms & conditions. Most importantly, it covers any medical expenses incurred during your tour (excluding policy excess) when treatment is provided at a public hospital. Private hospitals will incur a further charge.
